SQ-8462 is a dual-curing (heat + UV) adhesive that can be applied onto PVC, PET, TPU, or PC films via roll coating or screen printing, primarily for decorative use on nail tips. After baking, the product exhibits good surface drying and flexibility, allowing easy adhesion to nails with a smooth surface feel. After LED curing under a nail lamp, it becomes hard but not brittle, with excellent scratch resistance.

Product Features
After thermal curing, it provides good flexibility and elasticity, good surface drying, easy adhesion to nail surfaces, good yellowing resistance, and high transparency.
After curing under a nail lamp, the coating has a smooth surface feel, excellent scratch resistance, and good toughness.
Applications
Used as a protective coating on nail tips and as an outer coating layer on mobile phone tempered films.
Application Process
1. Clean the surface of the substrate.
2. Pour the adhesive onto the TPU substrate and use a rubber roller to press and level the coating, ensuring that air bubbles are removed and the adhesive forms a uniform film over the bonding area.
3. Bake the coated film at 70 °C for 1 hour until the surface reaches an initial tack-free state.
4. Laminate a release film onto the coated layer before stacking or rewinding.
5. Cut a small piece of the coated film, apply it onto the nail, and cure it under a nail lamp for 60 seconds to achieve full curing and evaluate performance.
Process Flow
Unwinding → Adhesive coating onto the substrate → Pattern/roller pressing → Thermal drying → Release-film lamination → Rewinding → Slitting → Forming → Removing the release film → UV/LED nail-lamp curing
Precautions
1. Ensure that the UV adhesive layer receives sufficient UV energy to achieve complete curing; inadequate irradiation may compromise the coating performance.
2. Do not pour leftover adhesive back into the original container. Store the remaining material in a sealed, light-proof condition at room temperature.
Storage Conditions
To prevent premature polymerization due to the high reactivity of this product, keep it tightly sealed and store away from heat sources and direct sunlight. It is recommended to maintain storage temperature below 30 °C. Unused product should be promptly resealed and must not be left open. Under ventilated conditions at 25 °C, the product has a safe storage period of 6 months. Available packaging: 1 kg / 5kg / 25kg per drum
Tips: SQ-8462 offers good flexibility, excellent adhesion, and fast surface drying.
